This year, Ben, Sam, and Elyse were all the right age to go to a session of BRAT camp together. Ben was not looking forward to the rock climbing and rapelling days, and he ended up doing them alone because Sam and Elyse both got a stomach bug and were unable to go. He did it, though.....good job, Ben! Mom got to go with them on the bike ride. It was fun, but being in a "controlled" group wasn't so fun. We had to use our brakes the majority of the time because we weren't allowed to pass the lead person.
Elyse, unfortunately, took a spill on her bike, hence the grumpy face. She had been doing so well, being in the lead pack of bikers. Then the spill happened and she suddenly became the slowest. But at least she kept going.....
The last day we got to go white water rafting. It was a lot of fun and Sam and Elyse both got to ride on the nose of the raft through some rapids! Mom was relieved that no one fell out of the boat.
