Mara, Ben, and I were invited to help out the Black Forest Band with a "gig" that had lined up in Denver. Their regular drummer was going to be out of town, so Keyan suggested they give Ben a try. Mara and I sang a few songs. Ben did an amazing job....given that he's never done anything like that in his life, never taken drum lessons, and never heard these "oldie" songs. I was very impressed with his abilities.....I guess he got those drumming genes from Keyan!
Later in the summer the band had another gig playing for the LDS Single Adults in the Colorado Springs area. It was fun. The drummer was back, so Ben did not get to play with us at this one.
