Almost done...

As we enter the last 2 weeks of soccer, I am already breathing a sigh of relief!  It has been good........but with that good comes a lot of running to the car because "we're late!", a lot of coordinating who's going to pick up which child at which field at which time, a lot of 8:00 p.m. dinners, and a lot of 9:30 bedtimes.  It will be nice to have some "breathing" room in our afternoons and evenings again!

All of the kids have improved this season in one way or another...Mara has really learned how to be an offensive player, looking for the space and the pass and getting her foot on the ball a whole lot in front of the goal.  Ben has learned to actually pay attention to the soccer game and not his imagination!  He has definitely gotten more active and and it's great to see him run!  Sam has become a good little defender, one who runs with such determination on his face as he goes after that ball.  And I have learned a lot about coaching from my "assistant" high school soccer coach and also that I don't really want to be completely in charge again......maybe just an assistant coach.
