Visitors at our house!

We are so lucky to have Rachel (Mara's cousin) out here to stay with us for a few weeks.  Girl's Camp was the lure for her to come, but we have tried to do a few other fun things while she is here.
Mara and Rachel got the BFF award at camp because the camp leader said they were ALWAYS together.  Well, that's how it should be, right?

These are all of the first year girl's from our ward at camp this year.

After camp was over, Rachel and Mara came to Grayton Beach where the rest of us were staying for a few days.  It had been raining all day, so a few minutes of dry sky found us down at the beach.  Rachel didn't mind getting a little wet!

Rachel and Mara didn't stay the night with us at the beach because they were just "too tired" from girl's camp.  Keyan brought them home to try to catch them up on their sleep.  I don't think it worked.  Every night is like a slumber party....they are definitely not in the habit of going to bed early and waking up early in the morning!

We went to Crystal Beach yesterday for the girl's to enjoy the waves.  They both dove right in with their boogie boards and had loads of fun catching some waves.  They also spent some time looking for tiny aquatic animals that burrow in the sand....sorry, I don't know their name!

And today, we went to Boggy Bayou and did a little riding on a Seadoo we borrowed from a friend.  Lots of fun!

Doesn't she look like she's on the cover of a magazine in this picture?

Here Rachel is convincing Mara to try a piece of chicken........Mara doesn't like to eat meat..........Rachel has great power over Mara because she ate a piece!

Bosom buddies..........

We also were excited to have Grandma and Grandpa and Cari come down to stay with us for a couple of weeks before we all went to Texas for a family reunion.    It is great to see my mom and dad out having some fun on the seadoo....they still have a great adventurous spirit!
Hold on boys, Ben's at the wheel!  Not really, Keyan has a firm grasp on that handle, but I'm sure Ben was doing as much as his dad would let him!

Cari was even brave enough to go out on the water.  She had a great time.

I love to drive the seadoo, but inside I'm pretty nervous as we race over the water.  Elyse and I were driving around and saw 2 dolphins come up out of the water right ahead of us.  On one hand that was pretty cool, on the other hand, it scared me to death!  To think of these majestic creatures in the water right next to you is a bit frightening because you have absolutely no control over what they're going to do.  Luckily, dolphins are pretty friendly and they just do their own thing.  Elyse loved looking for them, so we had to keep turning around to try and find them again.  We were lucky enough to see them a few more times before mom's nerves finally wore out and she drove away!
We enjoyed a couple of trips to the beach with Grandma and Grandpa, too.  It was a beautiful Florida day and the water was warm...do you think that's enough to entice them to move down here for the winters?

Elyse is telling Grandma exactly what to do with this raft.  Elyse didn't really love being in it.
See the rainbow in the background?  I guess we're good for another year!

What would Cari do without Elyse?  What would Elyse do without Cari?
