Well, as the song goes, "just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down..." Our sugar this week was DisneyWorld and the medicine was Ben's surgery. Disney was fun - we visited rides we hadn't gone on before and found some new favorites (Mara and Tower of Terror - mom didn't volunteer to go on that one a second time)!
Ben did great with his adenoidectomy and tubes being put in his ears. He woke up as a strong bull trying to get out of his bed and trying to get that IV out of his hand (which he was successful doing), but once the medicine (morphine) kicked in, he calmed down a lot. After that he really had no pain and was ready to go to school the next day. We are grateful for the skilled surgeon and the other ways in which Ben was looked after.
