What fortunate timing that Sam would have his birthday on a Sunday the year he turned 8 years old! It was a very exciting day for him, mostly because he was getting baptized at night.

| Off they go......... We are very happy for Sam and the decision he made to be baptized. What a great blessing this will be to him throughout his life......if he honors his end of the promise! Several people that talked told Sam that he was very kind and gentle, as evidenced by his affection to his cat. Bishop also told how Sam bought him a big bag of Dum-Dum suckers with his own money, which was very kind (and Sam also had a hidden motive to get 2 dum dums from Bishop instead of just 1!). Sam is a gentle, kind, boy.....and he does the best job out of all my kids of saying "yes m'am." I love that! I hope this step will help him grow into a righteous young man. |
