Mara's softball season comes to an end

Mara had a rough start in softball this year.  She choose to go back to the team she was on last year, and after going to a few practices, regretted that decision.  But, once a decision is made, we have to live with it, right?  So, there were lots of frustrations for her...... but by the end of the season, she did manage to have a smile.  She was the oldest girl on her team and I think she finally became the leader she needed to be.  All the younger girls really looked up to her.  Mara has a great arm....I am amazed at how well and far she can throw.  That is definitely a trait inherited from her dad, not her mom!

 Next year she will have to move up to play with the "big girls."  That will be a good thing for her...it will make her work a little harder on her skills.   But maybe softball won't even be in the picture next year....we'll just have to wait and see.
